A Land Surveyor performing a FEMA Elevation Flood Certificates

FEMA Elevation/Flood Certificates

A FEMA Elevation Certificate (EC) is an official document used to determine a building’s elevation relative to the Base Flood Elevation (BFE). It helps insurance companies and lenders assess flood risk and calculate flood insurance premiums. The EC is part of the National Flood Insurance Program (NFIP) and is required for properties in Special Flood Hazard Areas (SFHAs). FEMA Flood Certification involves surveying a property’s elevation to determine flood risk. We will ensure to collect the proper elevation data, complete the FEMA Elevation Certificate, and assist with any submissions needed to reduce or potentially eliminate flood insurance requirements.
